Dick Deno has spent 36 years of his life working with music and musicians as well as in radio throughout Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Minnesota. He’s worked for KFIL in Preston, MN; as the Operations Manager for KBFS in Belle Fourche, SD; at WCCN in Neillsville, WI; at WHTL in Whitehall, WI; and currently part-time, here, at WWIS. Deno works full-time as a corrections officer for the State of Wisconsin. He’s also the Black River Arts Alliance’s Vice President. From 1964-1969, Deno was a member of The Exiles, the first Rock N’ Roll band to come from Black River Falls. He’s the author of two books, The Western Experience and Rubbin’ Elbows.
