State transportation officials are urging drivers in Wisconsin to prepare for hazardous driving conditions this weekend due to the spring snowstorm.
Parts of northern and northwestern Wisconsin could receive up to a foot of snow while a rain-sleet mix to the south will create icy road conditions. Strong winds are expected to cause drifting and blowing in open areas and reduce visibility. WisDot says people might want to consider staying home or delaying travel plans this weekend. Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds in hazardous conditions and allow plenty of extra time for travel.
