Prairie Du Chien Principal Accused Of Abusing Student

(Prairie du Chien, WI) -- Crawford County authorities have filed one count of felony physical abuse of a child against a school principal in Prairie du Chien.
The incident happened March 21st at Bluff View Intermediate School. Principal Aaron Amundson is accused of using a cleaner containing dry ice and a scrubbing pad to remove a profanity written on a student's hand. The 14-year-old boy suffered a chemical burn and had to seek medical treatment. According to the district, Amundson has been placed on non-disciplinary paid leave. The same school leader had been suspended three years ago for calling students idiots and allegedly making death threats.
