Mayor Tim Kabat's veto of a nearly 50-million dollar expansion project for the La Crosse Center will stand.

Less than a month after the mayor killed the proposal, the Common Council failed to get enough votes to override his veto.  The council voted seven to six Thursday night to override the veto, but needed a majority of nine to officially accomplish the task.  The La Crosse Center Board is meeting today (Friday) to discuss the next steps in the design process.
