(7/9/12) Skid steers officially surpass tractors this year as the leading cause of death on farms in the United States.
A unique training will be offered for farm owners, family members and employees wanting to learn more about safe skid steer operation. The course will be held in Black River Falls, on Tuesday, July 24th at the Jackson County fairgrounds. Participants can choose from either the 9:00-12:00 a.m. session or the 12:30-3:30 p.m. Both sessions will include classroom and hands-on operating on a driving course. In addition, topics covered include, proper pre-inspection, basic maintenance checks, and common on-farm hazards experienced with skid steers. This safety course will be offered in English as well as Spanish.
