(11/10/12-Tony Hart) Now that the nearly 80-million dollar Western Technical College referendum passed, Western President Lee Rasch says he knows college officials have their work cut out for them and is extremely grateful for the community's support.
WTC projects they'll serve an additional 1-thousand students by the year 2020. According to an economic impact report, assuming an additional 300 graduates per year will stay and work in the Western district, there will be an economic impact of over $6 million in 2020 that will rise to over $97 million by the year 2034. Rasch says, Western will start with the three of the six projects planned next spring and with completion by 2016.
