(11/13/12) A Marshfield man has pleaded innocent to stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death.
Gabriel Campos was ordered to stand trial after a preliminary hearing yesterday – and he was immediately arraigned on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide. Campos turns 21 today – and he remains in the Wood County Jail under a five-million-dollar bond. He's accused of slashing-and-stabbing 18-year-old Maisie McCullough at their east side home in Marshfield on September 7th. She was found dead in their bathtub. Police said McCullough had just broken up with Campos, and she was about to stay with friends when she returned to the house for a curling iron on the night of the slaying. Campos turned himself in the next day, while he and his two-year-old son were at a motel in Wisconsin Rapids.
