A 23 year old woman faces life threatening injuries after she was run over by a tractor Sunday evening. According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened around 5:45 Sunday evening on in the town of Ettrick. Authorities say the woman fell off a hay wagon that was being pulled by a tractor operated by a 29-year-old man. They say several others were on the wagon at the time. According to a report, the woman lost balance and fell off the wagon. The tires from the wagon then rolled over her body. She was flown to Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse for head and leg injuries. The driver of the tractor fled the scene. He was later found and arrested. Alcohol was involved in the accident.
