(3/18/13) A traffic stop conducted by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office ended with four (4) drug related arrests along with the execution of two search warrants according to Jackson County officials. Officials report seizing methamphetamine and marijuana in the investigation.
On March 13, 2013 at approximately 12:01 AM, Sergeant Travis Brown of the Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation on a vehicle at Gebhardt Road and River Road in Brockway Township.
Upon making contact with the driver he was identified as 33 year old, BUFFALO BEAR CAMPBELL of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Sgt. Brown did check with Jackson County Sheriff's Dispatch and found that CAMPBELL was driving on a revoked driver's license.
CAMPBELL was subsequently arrested for the traffic violation and the Sergeant contacted K-9 Deputy Nick Gray to assist at the scene with his narcotics sniffing K-9 "Ice."
Upon the arrival of the K-9 Officer a canine sniff was performed and the dog alerted to narcotics inside the vehicle. A subsequent search by deputies recovered a ¼ pound of marijuana hidden in the vehicle. CAMPBELL was arrested for the felony count of "Possession of a Controlled Substance/intent to deliver."
The deputies along with Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy Adam Olson then went about investigating this case and subsequently applied for and received two search warrants. Both warrants for residences in Jackson County, one in Brockway Township and a residence in Komensky Township as well.

The search warrants were served simultaneously at 6:10 AM on March 13, 2013 at W8936 Mission Road in Komensky Township and at 110 Maplewood Court #26. Deputies reported seizing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at both locations.
Suspects arrested in connection with the search warrants have been identified as:
GABRIEL (V) DECORAH, age 44 of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. DECORAH is facing felony criminal charges on "Possession of methamphetamine," and "Possession of drug paraphernalia." He is also charged with "Maintaining a drug house." DECORAH remains incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.
CELESTE (L) GOFF, age 55 of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. GOFF is facing felony criminal charges on "Possession of methamphetamine" along with "possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia." Charges also of "possession of marijuana" and "possession of drug paraphernalia" stemming from the marijuana possession are also being charged.
STARLENE DECORAH, age 24, of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. STARLENE DECORAH is facing felony criminal charges on "Possession of methamphetamine" and "Possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia"
In a brief statement Jackson County Sheriff Duane Waldera praised the efforts of the deputies involved with this investigation. "These deputies started with a simple traffic stop and turned that into a criminal drug investigation that took some very dangerous drugs off the street."
Sheriff Waldera noted that at one time, the most dangerous drug in Jackson County was marijuana. The Sheriff related that he is now seeing methamphetamine and heroin usage and sales across the County escalate.
All defendants are expected to appear before Circuit Judge Thomas Lister on today's date.
