Sparta Gets Grant For New Charter School

The Sparta Area area school district has received a grant to help create a plan for a stem school. That stands for science, and technology, engineering and math.

The Sparta Area School District received a $175,000 planning grant from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

They’re trying to create a brand new kind of school, focused on the future.

The district will spend this school year developing a plan for the stem school for students interested in science, technology, engineering or math.

The STEM school would be the fifth public charter school for the Sparta Area School District.
