TMH Recommends Wear Red Day

(2/2/12) Health care officials at Tomah Memorial Hospital are encouraging area residents to join with their staff and wear something red on Friday.

February third is National Wear Red Day…an awareness event developed by the American Heart Association to support ongoing research and education about women and heart disease.

Heart disease claims the lives of more than four-hundred-twenty-two-thousand American women each year, causing one in three deaths each year.

It’s important for men to take part in the event and be supportive in the effort since heart disease affects everyone.
