(3/6/12) The 2012 Babysitting Clinic, sponsored by Black River Memorial Hospital and Partners of BRMH, will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on May 12th at the Black River Falls Middle School.
Lunch will be provided and there is no cost to attend, but advanced registration is required by April 27th, 2012. Registration forms are available online at www.brmh.net, at the hospital’s registration desk in the main lobby, and at all middle schools throughout the county.
The babysitting clinic is open to any student who has completed the 6th grade. This newly structured one day clinic teaches students to be responsible, creative and safety conscious while babysitting. Topics include: Guidelines for Sitters; Bathing; Feeding; Dressing; Fire Safety; Safety and Legal Responsibilities; First Aid; Responding to Emergencies; and Rescue Breathing and Choking Interventions.
At the end of the clinic, students will attend a Q&A session with a panel of parents who will discuss experiences with babysitters. Students will be given a test, awarded a certificate of course completion and have a group picture taken.
