A criminal charge has been filed against a La Crosse man accused of robbing a North Side hotel.
A clerk at America’s Best Value Inn said a man wearing a black mask and gloves demanded money about 9:30 Wednesday night after claiming to have a gun, According to the complaint filed in La Crosse County Circuit Court,
Police identified the man as 25 year old Joshua Green.
Green allegedly jumped over the counter and grabbed about $150 from the register before removing his mask and running out the door.
He was later found in a yard on Prospect Street with $149.25 in his backpack. He later confessed to the crime, according to the complaint.
Prosecutors charged Green, with armed robbery with use of force as a repeat offender. He returns to court Monday for a preliminary hearing.
