Earth Day Cleanup

(4/13/12) The Friends of the Black River will be holding its annual Earth Day Cleanup at Castle Mound State Park Saturday, April 21.

The group is inviting volunteers to help with the effort to remove trash from the state park land. The cleanup will begin at 8 a.m. and will go until noon. At noon, the state park will provide a complementary lunch at noon for all volunteers. Those willing to help with the effort are asked to meet in the parking lot by the log cabin located near the entrance of the park. Volunteers are advised to dress for the weather and to use protection against ticks. Those wanting to volunteer or to get more information should contact John Elliott at 715-284-1507.
