(4/23/12) It’s true - having a good laugh offers real health benefits. It relaxes the body, boosts the immune system, releases endorphins and lowers stress hormones. This is why Black River Memorial Hospital is hosting their first Women’s Night Out.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. on May 10 and invites women to take time out of their busy schedules and experience the healing power of laughter. A hilarious show by comedian Janet Heinz is the opening act. Heinz has performed all over the country and is known for her upbeat, spunky style and making quirky observations on life.
“I love entertaining crowds in the Midwest,” she says. “It’s such a beautiful area and those ladies really know how to have a good time!”
After the show, attendees are invited to enjoy free massages and refreshments, socializing, and learning more about the hospital’s women’s health offerings. Women will be able to browse booths featuring diet and nutrition tips, stress-less demos and other services and consultations.
Seats are filling quickly. Register for the event online at brmh.net or by calling 715-284-1325.
