Meat Animal Quality Assurance Workshops

(5/4/12) Meat Animal Quality Assurance (MAQA) workshops for youth livestock project exhibitors

The first of two Meat Animal Quality Assurance (MAQA) workshops will be held on Thursday, May 17th at the Jackson County Bank Community Room.  A test-out option will be offered from 6 – 7 p.m., with the workshop to follow from 7 - 8:30 p.m.  Jackson County Fair youth exhibitors of the Livestock Project (beef, sheep and swine) are required to be MAQA certified in order to participate in the market animal class.  A second MAQA event will be available on Tuesday June 19th at the Mel-Min High School.
