(6/1/12) Trinity Farms LLC of Blair will host the UW-Extension conservation tillage management field day on Thursday, June 14th from noon-2:30 p.m.
UW-Extension specialists Carrie Laboski, Vince Davis and Bryan Jensen will discuss pest and nutrient management in conservation tillage systems including no-till, minimum and zone tillage on Jackson and Trempealeau County soils. NRCS Area Resource Soil Scientist Tim Miland will display soil profile cores demonstrating the area’s unique soil characteristics and formations. Lunch is provided, sponsored by area agronomy cooperatives Federation Co-op, Hixton Fairchild Farmer’s Co-op, and Countryside Co-op, and Jackson County Bank. Special thanks to Trinity Farms for hosting this field day at their tillage test plot, N33045 Hwy 53, six miles north of Blair. Two Soil and Water CCA/CEU credits have been approved.
