(6/12/12) A Junior Fair multi-species livestock fitting and showing workshop to be held this Saturday, June 16th at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.
Everything exhibitors want to know about preparing beef, sheep and swine for the show ring and what to expect when you get to fair.
Discussion to be led by the Senior Showmanship winners from the 2011 Jackson County Fair.
Exhibitors will be able to have any and all questions about showing and fitting answered during the session.
Questions like: What does fitting mean?, What questions will the judge ask me?, What do I need to take to fair along with my animal? What should I wear in the show ring. This workshop will answer the questions you need answered.
Agenda: Begins at 10:00 a.m. Each session will run approximately an hour. Come for one - stay for all.
10:00 a.m. Beef - Fitting and showing - lead by Paige Janke
11:00 Sheep - Fitting and showing - lead by Maggie Larson
12:00 Swine - Fitting and showing – lead by Grant Giese
This will be a great workshop for beginning livestock participants to be a part of. You will learn many valuable tips from the exhibitors of Jackson County to help you have a successful showing at this year’s Jackson County Fair.
