The heat has been hard on our area's wildlife.
Hundreds of dead carp are floating in the water in LaCrosse.
A representative from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the fish did die from the excessive heat. And it's not just carp. The DNR also says there a reports of dead Bass, Northerns and Perch, in areas around the state.
