(7/14/12) Officials in Vernon County have confirmed that the death of a 52-year-old woman on July 9 was heat related.
This is the third confirmed heat-related death this summer, with a 68-year-old woman dying in La Crosse and a 91-year-old man dying in Onalaska. Officials urge residents to check on their elderly neighbors when its hot as they are especially vulnerable to the hot temperatures.
