Two people are dead after a pair of separate crashes in Jackson County Friday.
A motorcycle rider was killed near Millston. That mishap occured around 4. According to the Jackson County Sherriff, a cyclist was traveling at high speed on I-94 when he exited the highway and continued at high speed. Deputies say the driver then lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a signpost. The 23 year resident of Jackson County was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene. The name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
A Friday evening crash west of Black River Falls has killed one. According to the Jackson County Sherriff's Department, it occured just after 7:00pm at the intersection of State Highway 54 and County Road H, near the Little Norway Lutheran Church. Two others were believed to be critically injured and were airlifted to a hospital. No other details are available at this time and the accident remains under investigation.
