TMH Encourages Walkers to "Go for Gold"

(8/27/12) Healthcare officials at Tomah Memorial Hospital's Community Outreach Department are inviting area residents to put a few extra steps in their daily routine.

For the fourth consecutive year, the hospital is holding a six -week self monitored walking program, titled, "Walking for Wellness".

Outreach Health Educator Kasey Bloom hopes the recent summer Olympics will inspire people to go for the gold and sign up for the program.

Registration is ten-dollars and scheduled August 29 from 6:30 A-M to  9:30 A-M and from 3:30 P-M to 5:30 P-M in the classrooms at Tomah Memorial Hospital.

Bloom said walkers can also call Community Outreach at 3-7-4-0-2-1-1 to sign up for the program.

Participants will receive a water bottle, program materials, plus weekly trivia and prizes.

The program will run September 10th  thru October 22nd .
