Ross to Step Down

8-28-12

After a long period of service to Jackson County including over 5 years as Emergency Management Coodinator and 911 Dispatch Coordiator, John Ross has decided to step down to take a similar post in another county.

Ross says leaving the office in Jackson County was "one of the hardest decisions he had to make."  He will be taking a similar position in Clark County.  The change will not require his family to move from their current home.

Ross says he has enjoyed his time serving Jackson County, and made the move to accept new challenges.

Ross will stay on until October.  No replacement has been named yet.  He says he expects the transition to be a smooth one for the county.
