(9/8/12-Tony Hart) The Wisconsin Senate Committee on Economic Development, Entrepreneurism, and Biotechnology will hold an Informational Hearing in Sparta this Thursday, September 13, according to committee chair State Senator Julie Lassa (D-Stevens Point).
On the agenda is the issue of unemployment among military veterans and what the state can do to identify and promote innovative approaches to helping veterans find jobs as well as start their own small businesses. Also under discussion will be downtown and community redevelopment and various state efforts, such as the Main Street program, that help communities revitalize their downtowns. The Informational Hearing will convene at 10:30 a.m. at the American Legion in Sparta.
