(9/22/12-Tony Hart) Dairy farmers wishing to sign up for MILC, the Milk Income Loss Contract must do so by the end of the month.
According to Brad Pfaff, FSA's State Executive Director, MILC financially compensates dairy producers when domestic milk prices fall below a specified level. He says producers will need to confirm the dairy operation's eligible production before any payments will be issued. Pfaff says to contact your local FSA office for more information.
