"We don't want him moving in."
That’s the reaction of citizens in a neighborhood where a convicted sex offender and murderer is supposed to live.
They say they're worried for their safety and their kids.
The Clark County Sheriff's Department says Gary Thiede is set to move into a home just southeast of Neillsville September 1.
One week ahead of his move, people who live nearby came together to talk about his pending release.
Earlier this summer, Thiede was set to move into a different home in Clark County. Back then, there was a heated meeting and eventually the landlord backed out due to neighbors complaints.
Wednesday night, Thiede’s future neighbors were hoping for the same result.
