(10/1/12) Area senior citizens can learn how to be healthy and safe while discovering the positive aspect of aging during the fifteenth annual Senior Health and Safety Expo at the Cranberry Country Lodge in Tomah this Thursday.
Coordinated by Tomah Memorial Hospital Community Outreach Center for Occupational Health and Wellness, the free event will run from nine A-M to twelve-thirty P-M
Award-winning public radio producer, author and speaker, Connie Goldman will offer encouragement and inspiration in her presentation titled, "The Positive Aspect of Aging" beginning at eleven A-M.
In addition to Goldman's talk, Tomah Memorial Hospital Occupational Therapist Erin Kaczmarowski will give a presentation on ways to avoid and decrease back pain at ten A-M.
More than thirty businesses and organizations will have displays on various health and safety topics, plus there will be non-fasting screenings, like blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol.
