Jackson County "Women in History" Norminations Now Being Accepted

(11/8/12) Founded in 1996, the purpose of the Women In History in Jackson County program is to honor the achievements of women in the history of Jackson County.

This is done through the annual induction ceremony honoring the selected women's contributions to Jackson County's history. Women In History is sponsored by the Jackson County S.A.L.T. Committee (Senior and Law Enforcement Together). 

In order to be eligible for consideration, individuals must meet the following criteria:

q       Must be a resident of Jackson County

q       Must be at least 60 years of age

q       Making a difference in a community in Jackson County

q       Making a difference in someone's life

q       Volunteer their time and talent to benefit the community

Nomination forms can be picked up at:

q       Jackson County Health and Human Services Building

q       Jackson County Sheriff's Department

q       Jackson County Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers
