Whitehall Schools Addition Goes to Referendum

(12/1/12) Voters in the Whitehall School District will decide whether or not to spend 12-and-a-half million dollars.

The school board is asking for the money to add a 76-thousand square foot addition to the Middle/High School to ease crowding in the district’s two elementary schools.  The referendum will be on February’s ballot.  If passed, taxpayers would experience a gradual increase paying about 116 dollars extra on a 100-thousand dollar home the first year and 232 dollars more after that.
