A Sparta company will be shutting down a facility in Lake Delton, resulting in more than 40 people losing their jobs at end of December.
Published reports say the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) says Preferred Distributors is closing their facility in Lake Delton, and 41 full-time employees, as well as 3 part-time employees will be losing their jobs. Preferred Distributors says the closure is due to it selling the business.
The DWD and the South Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board will be assisting the people affected by the layoffs.
