Madison, Wis. – Are you interested in learning how to use Quickbooks computer software for your farm financial recordkeeping? Or build upon what you already do know? The University of Wisconsin-Extension and Western Technical College will be offering a beginning farm recordkeeping workshop using Quickbooks at Western Technical College, Tomah WI, Tuesday, January 15th from 9:30 a.m .- 3:00 p.m.
Quickbooks is a financial recordkeeping program and management tool. The program allows you to track and manage income, expenses, bank accounts, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payables, loans, payroll and equity in your farm business. Quickbooks also provides you with standard and customized detailed reports that are essential to making good decisions.
In this hands-on computer workshop you will learn basic accounting skills intertwined with recordkeeping using the Quickbooks software program. Each participant will develop a set of dairy farm financial records and reports, learn how QuickBooks is structured, and how to navigate in the program to tailor your financial recordkeeping for your farm business.
