BRMH Gives to Six Local Charities

(12/21/12) Black River Memorial Hospital conducts a benefits fair every November for staff to get reacquainted with their benefits package and choose a holiday gift.

This year the staff also had an opportunity to select a local charity for the hospital to donate a gift of money on their behalf.

In total, $2,960 was given to six local charities. The Bolton Refuge House, Black River Memorial Hospice, Jackson County Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, the Jackson County Animal Shelter, Project Christmas, and the Jackson County Food Pantry each received donations. The donations varied in amounts based on the number of employees that selected them.

"We are proud to be an employer of choice in Jackson County and happy to donate to charities on behalf of our employees," said Holly Winn, VP of Human Resources and Ancillary Services at Black River Memorial Hospital. "We are grateful for charities like these that benefit the lives of our patients and their families in our community."
