(12/31/12) If you're going out for New Year's Eve, try to remember to avoid frostbite.
The National Weather Service says wind chills could hit 30-below overnight in the La Crosse region – and actual temperatures could get down to minus-15. Wind chill advisories are in effect into New Year's morning for parts of southern Minnesota and northeast Iowa – but so far at least, they do not stretch into Wisconsin. Still, it'll be bone-chilling cold for New Year's Eve partiers, with lows below zero in all parts of the state except along Lake Superior. A weak low-pressure system is due in on Wednesday, with a chance of light snow and warmer temperatures as the week goes on. In Green Bay, almost 23-inches of snow fell in December. It was the city's 10th snowiest December on record.
