Cabin Fever – Chili Walk & Wine Tasting to Benefit Food Pantry,
Saturday, February 16
Nothing warms up a Wisconsin winter and gives you a mental jumpstart better than steaming soup or chili, and great wine and beer. On Saturday, February 16 from 11am – 4pm shoppers can sample chili, soup or stew at 9 shops; all different kinds, all made with a theme in mind. Tickets, $5 per person, will go on sale February 1st at Antique/Cranberry Country Mall, Area Community Theatre, Burnstad's European Restaurant, Heartland Cranberry Mall, Humbird Cheese Mart, J&R Variety, Kelsey's Class Act, The Point, Tomah Cash Store and the Tomah Chamber of Commerce. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the tasting at all the places mentioned above.
Along with your ticket you will receive a ballot to vote for the Best Chili, Soup or Stew and the Best Theme. By sampling and voting you will be eligible to win 2 Gift Baskets filled with items donated by the participating businesses. Ballots can be turned in at Burnstad's where you're invited to taste wines and beers of Wisconsin Wineries & Breweries beginning at 4pm. NEW this year will be a Celebrity Cork Pulling Contest at 5:30pm. Team Flock (Tom Flock and Mandy Brieske) vs. Team Protz (Deana and Joe Protz) will vie for the title of Top Puller. Teams will have 3 minutes to see who can pull the corks from the most bottles of wines. We need you there to cheer your team on and vote for your team with your dollars.
All proceeds will be donated to Tomah's Neighbor For Neighbor Food Pantry. So crawl out of your snow bank and gather your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors for some warm winter fun to benefit the food pantry.
