(5/13/13) The 2013 Babysitting Clinic, sponsored by Black River Memorial Hospital and Partners of BRMH, will be held from 12:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11th and Wednesday, June 12th at the Black River Falls Middle School.
Students only need to attend one session, and can choose which day. A snack will be provided and there is no cost to attend, but advanced registration is required by May 29th, 2013. There is room for 50 students each day.
The babysitting clinic is open to any student who has completed the 6th grade. These one day clinics teach students to be responsible, creative and safety conscious while babysitting. Topics include: Guidelines for Sitters; Bathing; Feeding; Dressing; Fire Safety; Safety and Legal Responsibilities; First Aid; Responding to Emergencies; and Rescue Breathing and Choking Interventions.
At the end of the clinic, students will attend a Q&A session with a panel of parents who will discuss experiences with babysitters. Students will be given a test, awarded a certificate of course completion and have a group picture taken.
