(6/1/13-Tony Hart) More severe weather blew through Black River Country yesterday afternoon and last night.

The National Weather Service issued Tornado Warnings for parts of Jackson, Trempealeau and Clark Counties after radar returns indicated a tornado was very possible.  Sirens were going off in communities such as Whitehall where residents took shelter in preparation for the threat.  Damage reports are minimal with no tornado touch-downs being reported as of late last evening, though pea size hail was reported in Eau Claire and golf ball size hail was seen in Independence.
