(6/15/13-Tony Hart) The highway construction project in the City of Black River Falls continues.
According to Al Rinka, project engineer, they hope to have the eastbound lanes of Main Street from Eighth to Eleventh Streets paved by the 4th of July. Work on the box culvert on Water Street near the Chamber Office started this week too. WE Energies completed their work on the Black River Bridge and constructions crews will begin deck-resurfacing Monday reducing bridge traffic to the eastbound lanes. This part of the project is expected to take two months. Rinka says there will be some delays in the work areas and expect traffic to be reduced to one lane with flaggers at times. Travelers are encouraged to take an alternate route when possible.
