(7/29/13) Black River Memorial Hospital welcomed the arrival of a U.S. Army Blackhawk Medic Chopper as part of their military training, education and community outreach.
The U.S. Army crew was conducting this mission as part of their training at Fort Mc Coy.
This training allows for BRMH and the U.S. Military to be prepared for a landing of this magnitude in the case of a real evacuation. The crew provided tours of the front and back of the helicopter and photo opportunities to local children, while providing information regarding its medical capabilities to BRMH staff. "We were thrilled and honored to be part of this training opportunity," said Holly Winn, VP of Human Resources and Ancillary Services at BRMH, "This was an excellent learning experience for our staff, community members and area children."
