An
officer-involved shooting in Madison leaves one person dead. Madison police say
no officers were injured in yesterday afternoon's shooting near the city's West
side. Police say the incident happened just after 3 o'clock, when they responded
to reports of a man with a weapon. An investigation into the shooting is
ongoing.

The
Outagamie County public safety committee have recommended several emergency
officials be disciplined or even fired for last week's storms that came with no
warning. Emergency Management Director Julie Loeffelholz and several other
officials are on the hot seat, accused of failing to sound emergency sirens
during storms on August 7. The power storms across Northwest Wisconsin
knocked-out power to over 60-thousand customers and is blamed for one death and
several injuries. The committee also accuses the sheriff's department for
failing to maintain the county's main communication tower near Black
Creek.

A
Wisconsin man with a very unusual name is facing drug charges in Iowa.
32-year-old Beezow Doo-doo Zopittybop-bop-bop, or Beezow for short, faces felony
drug charges from a July 20 arrest in Washington County, Iowa – he's been in
jail since the arrest. In 2012, Beezow was arrested in Madison for drug
possession. The arrest brought national attention from all mediums, including
late-night talk show hosts, because of the name.
