The State Patrol is again visiting Wisconsin high schools to alert young people about the dangers of texting-while-driving.

School assemblies are set for September 19th at Waukesha South High School and La Crosse Logan High. Similar events will take place later in other communities. Since 2010, A-T-and-T and the Triple-“A” have helped the State Patrol hold events in 25 Wisconsin communities. Texting-while-driving has been against the law in Wisconsin since December first of 2010 – but surveys and occasional crashes tell us that many of us have not gotten the message, or we refuse to hear it.
