(9/14/13) The University of Wisconsin La Crosse is the site for a public hearing on proposed legislation that would allow raw milk to be sold in the state.

The public hearing will be this Monday afternoon starting at 1:30 in the Cartwright Center's Valhalla Hall.  State Assembly Representative Chris Danou of Trempealeau is one of the bill's sponsors.  If approved, farmers could sell raw, or unpasteurized, milk directly to the public. Those attending the public hearing are encouraged to park in the ramp at 16th and Farwell streets in La Crosse.
