36th Annual Midwest Farm Show

(1/10/14) "Celebrating our Rural Heritage" comes alive during the 36th annual Midwest Farm Show, Wednesday and Thursday, January 15th and 16th at the LaCrosse Center.

The two day event has developed into a show of interest for Tri-State farmers of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa in that it provides an early look at new equipment and products available for the spring planting season. More than 300 company representatives of farm manufacturing and distributing firms will be on-hand to demonstrate their products.

Special events during the farm show include free health clinics by Gundersen Health System, a display of antique tractors and seed signs, plus the prize-winning restored tractor that resulted in a $10,000 award for high school senior Riley Hanson.

Jerry Apps, well-known storyteller and author of some thirty books, will share his stories on "Remembering Country Winters" during the farm show. His appearances are set for 11AM and 1PM daily. During the month of December, Apps was featured on Public Television with his stories and pictures of past Wisconsin winters. His show has now appeared on 69 television stations in 49 of our fifty states.

Show hours for the Midwest Farm Show are 9AM til 3:30PM daily with free admission and entertainment. The show is coordinated by North Country Enterprises of Wisconsin.
