Wisconsin State Genealogical Society Gene-A-Rama

 (2/7/14)   Registration form with speaker information for the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society 2014 Gene-A-Rama is now available in the Black River Falls Public Library-Jackson County History Room. 

  The two day event, April 4-5, will be hosted by the Manitowoc County Genealogical Society and held at the Holiday Inn in Manitowoc. 

     Speaking on the conference theme: Genealogical Tools: Moving Your Research Forward, will be main presenter Lisa Alzo.  Alzo is a freelance writer, instructor, and internationally recognized lecturer, specializing in Slovak/Eastern European genealogical research, writing your family history, and using the Internet to trace female and immigrant ancestors.  

     Other speakers include Grace Dumelle, author and researcher; George Findlen, CG, an academic administrator who became a genealogist in retirement; Vickie Schnitzler, president of the WSGS and active researcher; Kay Scholtz, Neillsville, who will speak on The Wisconsin Krueger Family Tragedy, her first published book; and Edith Wagner, founder, publisher and editor of Reunions magazine and reunionsmag.com.
