Racine Police say they have arrested a man wanted in connection with a Chicago area murder. Police arrested the 19-year-old during a traffic stop on Thursday. The man is a suspect in a fatal house party shooting in November, killing one man and injuring another. Illinois authorities issued the warrant on the unidentified suspect.

Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and Secretary of Revenue Rick Chandler are touring the state, hosting a series of tax reform roundtable discussions. Kleefisch says they heard an interesting proposal during a stop in Rhinelander, suggesting the creation of a regional tax structure, including tax breaks for Wisconsinites living in less economically developed areas. Kleefisch says they've heard many different ideas in their travels, but this is the first time they've heard this suggestion. She says they will research it to see if it is possibly a solution, and if any other states have tried it. Chandler and Kleefisch say there are some common themes everywhere they go. People tell them taxes are too high and too complicated.

Milwaukee Police say a 14-month-old child was unharmed when a man stole a vehicle with the child inside. Police say the mother left the child in the car with the motor running at a gas station, when the car thief took off with the child in tow. According to police, a witness followed the suspect until he abandoned the vehicle. Police are still investigating the incident.

A Stratford man will serve prison time for driving his car through ice, killing a passenger. Authorities say 32-year-old William Bowden was driving drunk two years ago when the car plunged into the Big Eau Pleine Reservoir, near the Highway S Bridge. 34-year-old Timothy Spindler drowned in the incident. Bowden was found guilty of his 4th O-W-I in January. Judge Greg Grau sentenced Bowden to three years in state prison, followed by three more years of extended supervision when he gets out. When released, any vehicles Bowden has will need ignition interlock devices to prevent them from starting if the driver is intoxicated.
