Several state governors and two Canadian providence leaders have declared all-out war against invasive species of fish in the Great Lakes. Michigan governor and co-chairman of the Council of Great Lakes Governors Rick Snyder announced the collaboration of several Great Lakes states, including Wisconsin, saying the threat of aquatic invasive species transcends borders. Invasive species targeted in the collaboration include Asian and silver carp, which are threatening to make its way into the Great Lakes.

Authorities say a missing woman has been found dead. Mequon Police say 54-year-old Candace Giles was found in the Milwaukee River near her home on Friday night... she had been missing since Thursday. Police say Giles was found by a man who found her near the shoreline. Authorities have not released a cause of death, an autopsy was performed yesterday.

A couple towing a boat on Interstate 94 discovered an unusual stowaway. The Minnesota couple says a bald eagle crashed through the shrink wrap of their boat, while they crossed the Red Cedar River near Menomonie. The couple originally thought the bird escaped, but later discovered it in the boat. The bald eagle was taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center in Colfax, where officials say it will be released into the wild when it's fully recovered.
