Pine View Care Center Hosts Pork Sandwich/Brat Event

Pine View Care Center invites the community to enjoy a free pulled pork sandwich or brat, with the extras, on Wednesday evening, August 29, from 5 – 7 p.m. Serving will be outdoors and music will be provided by Colman Olson of Melrose. Children will enjoy a Jumpy Castle and games. Door prizes will be drawn and refreshments will be served.

Ash Borer Found in Trempealeau County

A single adult emerald ash borer has been captured in a trap in Perrot State Park and confirmed Aug. 16 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. The area is directly across the Mississippi River from an infestation in Minnesota, and is north of previously discovered infestations in Wisconsin counties along the river.
