The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in game 6 of the NLCS SUnday night, 12-6.
The loss eliminates the Brewers and ends their season. Shaun Marcum gave up four first inning runs and the Brewers could never recover. The Cardinals now advance to the World Series against the Texas Rangers. Meanwhile, speculation begins in Milwaukee as to whether or not first baseman Prince Fielder will return oto the club. I(n his postgame press conference, Fielder often refered to his playing in Milwaukee in the past tense leading to speculation that Fielder has no intention of returning to the team for which he has played his entire career.
