(4/2/14) Teams from 15 hospitals joined the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) March 19-20 in Wisconsin Dells to launch the third cohort of Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB).

TCAB is a framework that hospitals can use to improve quality patient care by engaging frontline staff. The program aims to help targeted communities across the country set and achieve goals to improve the quality of their healthcare in ways that matter to patients and families.

The initial kick-off is the first step in the 18-month project. The event familiarized the teams with improvement methods and models that will support the change they want to see in their hospitals. The event brings the newly-formed teammates together and provides an opportunity for teams to network with other hospitals.

VP of Patient Care Services, Melissa Bergerson, said, "We are very focused on staff engagement and events like these help us to continue to provide excellent care in our ever-changing industry."
