Pheasant Hunting 2014

Wisconsin pheasant hunters are gearing up for a season that begins in ten days. Last year, almost 44-thousand hunters shot just over 194-thousand birds.  This year, the D-N-R says pheasant hunters will have their best luck in areas with adequate winter cover, like cat-tail marshes -- as well as dense brush mixed in with grasslands, hay, and crop fields.  The season begins at noon on October 18th statewide.  It runs through New Year's Eve.
