On Sunday, December 6, 2015, Partners of Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH) held their annual Love Lights ceremony. The night included a welcome, invocation and musical entertainment.
The Partners of BRMH start the Love Lights season by selling Love Lights during their annual Holiday Tea in November and continue to take in names and money for the program through December. A listing of this year's names are on the plaque hanging near the hospital's Dorothy Halvorson Conference Room.
The Love Lights program began in 1986, by long time Partner, Jean Hopkins. Even though she is now deceased, her legacy continues through her family who organizes this event each year. So far, the 2015 Love Lights program has raised over $3,200. The funds will be used to subsidize some Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) subscribers.
